Shown below are 14 B&W photos I took the night of February 18, 1968 of The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Houston, Texas Music Hall. This was one of the best concerts I ever had the great pleasure to attend.
Hendrix ripped on his flying-v guitar, even played it with his teeth. My ears are still ringing.   I spent most of it glued to my camera's viewfinder so these photos are my visual memory. A lot are blurry because I shot most of the photos using a telephoto lens mounted on my 35 mm camera while using available light and slow shutter speeds. If someone in the crowd bumped me or I wiggled the least bit the shot was blurred.
I scanned the images below from new prints I made from my 39 year old negatives. If it looks blurry in the scan below the print is blurry. That is just the way they are. The Sea Bird Publishing, Inc. logo DOES NOT appear on the finished print. I added it to the scans only. New 8x10 inch digital prints from these negatives are $15.00 each. (I have some, not many photographic enlargements of these shots in left in stock. They are $15.00 also. As soon as I can come up with the money to build a room onto our home/office I can set up the darkroom equipment I bought from the guy I used to rent it from. He decided to shut down his black and white darkroom and sell the gear and chemicals in February, 2007 effectively shutting down my photographic enlargement abilities.)
